Who was Poseiden? And how does a seahorse relate to part of the brain?

Poseidon is one of the twelve Olympian deities of the pantheon in Greek mythology. His main domain is the ocean, and he is called the "God of the Sea". He was associated with dolphins and three-pronged fish spears (tridents). He lived in a palace on the ocean floor, made of coral and gems. In Greek art, Poseidon rides a chariot that was pulled by a Seahorse (genus hipocampus- comes from the Ancient Greek hippos meaning "horse" and kampos meaning "sea monster"). The hippocampus is a major component of the brains of humans and other vertebrates. It belongs to the limbic system and plays important roles in the consolidation of information from short-term memory to long-term memory and spatial navigation and its shape looks a lot like the seahorse.
